How to Tag Your Items

Download the Tag Template/Inventory Sheet. This file is a Microsoft Excel document. You may fill in your items on the computer or print the tags blank to handwrite.

To record inventory: Enter your name, phone number, alternate phone number and seller number. Enter your items in the inventory sheet. To print inventory sheet, click "print preview" to see how many pages you need to print, then on the print screen enter that page range to print (example print page 1 to 4).

To print tags: you will be unable to change the tags in any way from the tag sheet. In order to print just the number of tags you have filled out, click "print preview" to see how many pages of tags you need to print. Then on the print screen, enter that page range to print (example print page 1 to 4).You may then print your tags and attach them to your items.

All items MUST be tagged using The Boutique Armoire tag.

All items must have tags printed on a light-colored, heavy cardstock. They should be clearly written and attached with a safety pin, tag gun or stapled to the inside tag of the garment (please try not to obscure the brand name) as shown below. If the garment tag is not easily accessible, you may pin our tag to the neckline or waistline. Any items tagged using straight pins will be returned to the consigner.

Tags must be printed using our tag template and should have the following information:

  • Seller Number - this number will assigned to you upon registration and no item will be sold without it.
  • Item Number - this item is tied to your inventory sheet and helps us in the event of confusion, missing price, etc.
  • Size - For infant sizes, please use the following size range. All others use the actual numerical size:

    0-3 months 12 months
    3-6 months 18 months
    6-9 months 24 months
    9-12 months

If an item ran extremely small or large, please tag it to the most appropriate size despite what the garment said.

  • Description - please give a brief description of your item. This helps in the event the tag becomes separated from the item or is mis-tagged.

  • Price - VERY IMPORTANT! We will not be able to sell items without prices. Please use .50 cent increments when pricing. Suggested pricing is 25-33% of original price depending on condition/features/etc.

  • NEW THIS SALE: The tags have been reformatted to give you the opportunity to have a lower price for the last day of the sale. If you chose, you may lower the price as much or a little as you would like - as long as it is in .50 cent increments. You may also opt not to lower the price. In this case, just leave the final price space blank.

All clothing items should be on hangers with the open part of the hanger facing left to look like a question mark as shown in the picture. Two piece outfits may be pinned to the hanger or tied together. Please only use one price tag per multi-piece outfit.

Tags on baby gear, furniture, DVDs or toys should be securely affixed using packing tape or masking tape. Please do not tape over the entire tag. Our volunteers will need to remove it in order to sell the item.
